The White River Valley Museum is honoring the history of the black community in the Auburn Area and the surrounding region with their newest exhibit: "Black in the Valley."

About the Exhibit

"Black history in King County largely focuses on the Black community in Seattle, especially the Central District. This isn't just an accident of history -- racist laws, labor practices, and a culture of White supremacy in both urban and rural regions of the county made it difficult if not impossible for Black workers and their families to live and thrive in most towns."
