The King County WaterWorks Grant Program is now accepting applications for funding for projects that improve water quality in the service area for King County's regional wastewater system.

The WaterWorks Council is accepting applications from July 1st through July 31st, 2021. Applications must be submitted through the online grant portal.

Click here for more information on how to apply.

Grant requests can be between $7,500 and 200,00.

Here are more specifics:

  • If you already have an active grant with WaterWorks, you are still eligible to apply for additional funding for a different project.
  • If you submitted a full application for a WaterWorks Competitive grant this year and are waiting to hear the results, you cannot submit the same proposal to the council track, but you can submit a different proposal.
  • Proposals that are submitted through the competitive track and are not funded (either at teh LOI or full proposal stage) will be considered in the council allocated track -- you do not need to reapply.

Decisions for both tracks will likely be made before the end of 2021, with projects starting in early to mid 2022.

Contact your councilmember's office directly for questions about the WaterWorks Council allocation review or selection process. For a map of council districts and contact info, visit the council district finding.
